Charities

We devote a significant amount of energy to supporting charities, social enterprises and community groups that our people are passionate about.

One of the ways we do this is by running a charity challenge each year in each of our offices, with a target of raising money for a staff-nominated charity.

Staff take on specific roles (Chair, Treasury, Marketing etc) and prepare a business plan for how to support the charity throughout the year, through fundraising and volunteer opportunities, ranging from firm-wide dress down days and cake sales to sport-based team challenges.

Our Charities of the Year for 2018/19

The staff in each of our offices vote for a dedicated charity to support for the financial year.

In Belfast we are supporting the NI Hospice, a local charity offering specialist respite, symptom management and end of life palliative care to over 3,500 infants, children and adults each year across Northern Ireland.

In Bristol we are supporting Children's Hospice South West, who provide hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family across the South West.

In London we are supporting Solidarity Sports, an organisation that helps hundreds of children from disadvantaged backgrounds, or those that have experienced trauma, through a range of activities including sport and art.

In Manchester we are supporting Mustard Tree, which helps people across Greater Manchester in poverty and facing homelessness through practical support, connections to work and well-being.

In Scotland we are supporting SAMH (Scottish Association of Mental Health), providing mental health social care support, homelessness, addictions and employment services, among others.

Fundraising activities that TLT staff have been involved in include the Tour de TLT cycling challenge, abseils, Three Peaks and mountain challenges, cake bakes, bowling, Santa runs, quiz nights, raffles pamper evenings and more.
